Purpose Statement
The purpose of this standards-based curriculum is to assist administrators and teachers of the Archdiocese of Omaha in the instruction of science in the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese of Omaha. The K-12 science guide contains clear expectations for science education standards which align with the Nebraska State Science Standards.
The science curriculum will include content from the following eight strands:
- Unifying Concepts and Processes
- Science as Inquiry
- Physical Science
- Life Science
- Earth and Space
- Science and Technology
- Science in Personal and Social Perspectives
- History and Nature
